    Sig522 shooting in folded position?

The stock comes real close to the charging bolt...is it okay to shoot in the folded position?

Thanks. I haven't had time to shoot my 522 yet, but looking forward to it.

I have one as well and I don't think it was designed to shoot in the folded position. looks like it will be bouncing them off the stock into your face but hell if it works it works. I'll try next time I'm at the range.

Yes, it can be cocked and fired with the stock in the folded and locked position.

Besides being fun (at least once) there's no reason to shoot it folded... even if you can. It gets old and if you wanted a pistol you should have bought one. Haha

it works folded just fine, but like blueghillie suggests, more fun shooting as a rifle

Me too; fired it with the stock folded once - just to make sure it would do it.

Mine is way too much fun to shoot with the stock open and extended. Of all of my .22 rifles, it is my hands-down favorite.
