New Savage MARKII TR

Finially got my Savage TR out of 10 day jail.
I put a Millett Buck Gold Series 4-16x56 with EGW scope base and Burris rings
Took it to the range this weekend and zero'd it
Shot the below targets at 50M in strong wind just to see how accurate it is. These arent my best groupings but ill try again at a later date.

That stock is factory other than the SICK camo Job. the bolt is factory on the TR also.

wasnt sure I really liked it till I looked at it after I took pictures of it
yeah the scope is big but hey I didnt want to have scope envy
I shot Aguila traget ammo
its subsonic and while accurate it does bounce around in the wind

The TR shown on the website is an early pre production gun. Production models all have the larger knob.

I have the TR as well. They are being shipped with larger "tactical" bolt knob.

Don't have a picture yet, but finally got my Savage Mk II TR out to the range (snow had to melt first).

Zeroed it, fired another dozen rounds, then shot the board's April Rimfire Match (target below):



(50 yards; Millet 4x16 TRS-1; SK Standard Plus; bags front & rear)

The stock is exactly what I wanted, and the guns comes equipped with the bigger "tactical" bolt handle. Really looking forward to shooting it at 100 and 200 yards.

OK took my Savage out for its third round of tryouts
There was no wind when I started shooting but once the sun fully came out the wind did pickup and affected my shots. Unfortunately I cant break the 84 point barrier but next time Im going prone and I tend to shoot better that way
Gun was setup as you see with a front rest and bag

I used Aguila 40gr LRN match ammo. While not the best it is pretty consistant.

I am now determined to break the 100pt barrier but after I knew I wasnt going to break it today I shot some federal 40gr LRN HV at one of the boar targets at 200m and once I got the right mildot I was dinging it 10 or of 10 times which was pretty sweet considering some guy with a scoped M1A was dancing around the target and not at all too happy with me outshooting his 1000+ dollar rifle with my .22
