    Just found a 17V. Cool.

Pulled the K31 out of the back of the safe and hiding in back was a Marlin 17V from 6 years ago that I'd forgotten about.

I remember scoping and working over the Savage 93R17 I won as an NRA doorprize. I knew I'd bought several other 17s but something else must've come along and distracted me.

Of course, that was about the same time as the first wave of BRD hit....

Got a Mueller scope and Talley rings coming from Midway and have to brush up on the Marlin Trigger Trick. Just what I needed, another project.

Which Mueller did you order? They've got an 8.5-25x50AO - listed as a rimfire scope

That's the one. It's the Eraticator, illuminated reticle 8.5-25X50AO.

Got it today and I will get it all bolted together and tried out this weekend.

Okay, that didn't work out so well.

Midway listed Talley mounts for 3/8 tip-offs. Unfortunately the generic rings don't fit the Marlin. Even after dremel application......

        Phooey!!
