Fair price S&W Model 41 ???

Hi all, I have an opportunity to buy from a family friend and early Model 41,it is in a presentation case and has the 5 inch and 7inch barrel and 2 mags, I want to be fair as this is a family friend , Any help is appreciated,Thanks

I know you indicated it was in a presentation case but, what condition is the Model 41 and it's two barrels in? Is it new/unfired or??

IMHO after searching for a second 41 over the last year, $750-$900 depending on year produced and condition. A second barrel is over $200.
