    Looking for good .22lr revolver

    Looking for a good S&W or Colt .22lr with 5" or longer barrel revolver, has anyone seen one on sale in any local gun shop around L.A. or does anyone have one to part with? I'd like to avoid single actions, thanks for helping.

        S&W 617 and you will never regret it!
        TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
        The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
        Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
        Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
        The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
        The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
        The best lack all conviction, while the worst
        Are full of passionate intensity.

          The s&w 317/617 is a great gun but it costs way too much and hard to find too.

            I have a S&W 617 4 inch 10 shot, outstanding gun. I don't think it cost way too much and anything worth having is hard to find.

              You can't go wrong with either a Colt or S&W, The Colt is a little finer in most models but more expensive (Probably worth it in the long run) DO NOT BUY a Taurus. I have seen several that quit functioning when still quite new. A Colt C&R would be great and a fine investment.

                S&W 617 6" 10 shot... Love it and will never part with it. As a side note every one I have let shoot it loved it and most have bought one (or wished they had the funds to)... if it is not in your collection it should be! I also have several other 22LR revolvers but the 617 is my favorite. And is always in my range bag!

                My only issue with it --- I almost always get yelled at for rapid fire.

                        LOL..............
                        He is not asking which brand or model to buy, he is asking for a local sighting if there are any.

                          I have a 617 and a 647, they are both perfect, I expect my grandkids to fight over them when I'm gone

                              Check with Duncan's Gunworks in San Marcos. I am sure they have more than a few great shooters in their used case. I'm still looking for a Diamondback here in CA. Unfortunately the newest have yet to pass their 50th birthday
