    22, pump, tube fed recommendations

Looking for a rifle that shoots all of the rimfire 22's (S, L, LR) and is pump action and tube fed. I see a few of em for $500+ but was looking to spend much less for a fun gun/plinker. Any chance I could find one for around $200 or less? If so, which model should I be looking for? I am looking for a "Happy B-Day to me" present

I picked up a 1906, in the white, for $200 a few years back. I have not even attempted to refinish it. It's just a shooter but, it's a nice shooter. For $200, you're probably going to find pretty rough Winchesters, Colt, Remingtons and Savages. However, you might find a cleaner and newer Taurus or Rossi on a used rack. Since you're local, I'd suggest calling Fort Courage Armory in Simi. They had an old Winchester (IIRC) that needed some work but, it was around your price range.

          Pump action is fun.

The 572 Fieldmaster is a good gun. I think, given the condition, the one in the classifieds may be there a little longer.

The Taurus (formerly Rossi) is a copy of the Winchester 62 pump rifle. It is just the ticket for what you want.

I've had my Rossi pump for about 10 years and love it.

              Fast shooting accurate little rifle.

                Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I found the one in the for sale section. It is a bit rough to put it nicely. If the guy dropped the price by around half, he would have a buyer There is a reason it has been for sale for half a year.

smle-man, I found the Taurus in my search. Seems like they arent making them anymore I was pretty bummed about that since it looked like exactly what I was looking for. If I find one for sale, I am going to snatch it up.

Regarding the Remington, a local shop has a used one for sale. Price is pretty steep at $359 but I am going to take a look at it. If it is near perfect, I may try to work with the guy.

My backup option is the Henry pump action rifle. The thing looks pretty sweet. I found one for about about $490 out the door. That isnt very close to $200 is it It holds 20+ rounds of 22 short. The squirrels are gonna hate me
