are you a plinker or a precision target shooter? Will you accessorizing the 10/22? Most important question, is this what you want to do and are you just looking for a nudge?

If you haven't run a thousand rounds thru the Colt it ain't broke in yet. My Colt OPS operates as good as my 10/22 now....

I have the Colt M4 OPS. It works fine with CCI Minimags, CCI Blazer, and Federal bulk.

They generally don't like Remington Golden bullets.

If you are having trouble, make you adjust the bolt tension screw. I have mine set in a full 10 turns. Also, make sure the flash hider is on tight.

I have both rifles. My 10/22T is blue. Using scopes and bipods on both rifles and using the best ammo for each, the 10/22T outshoots the Colt .22 at 50 yards, but not by much. At 100 yards, the 10/22T is the winner. Then again, the trigger on my Colt is horrible. With a better trigger, the Colt just might match the 10/22T.

My son likes the Colt, but hates the trigger. The Ruger is really heavy for him. It is not for offhand shooting. I have another 10/22 that is set up for "tacticool" he likes better, especially when using the banana mags.

Before buying the 10/22T, carry it around for a while. It's on the heavy side.
