    Stainless barrel more accurate?

I'm thinking about picking up a .17 hmr and I'm probably going to go with one of the Savages. The differences seem to be in stock and barrels. I'm probably just going to go with personal preferance on stocks and I know I'm going with a bull barrel, but is stainless more accurate? I've been told stainless can be more accurate, is this true? Right now my only choice is wether to go with the stainless or not, can you guys help me out?

Yes. Take a look at any large accuracy competition such as the major benchrest competitions, etc. all you will see are stainless barrels on the line. The ease of machining of stainless steel results in better finishes and more uniform bore dimensions.
