    I think these were made by Marlin and as it happens, I actually looked at one yesterday at Krausewerk guns in San Mateo - he was asking $85.00 for it. Condition was "pretty well used". I doubt you'll find much to add on to it. I'd think the best that can be done is making it looks as close as possible to the day it was made.

      Yeah, it's a Marlin Mod 80. In good condition should bring ~$100-$125. I had the similar tube-fed model as a kid. Good gun I thought.

      I don't believe you'll find any type of conversion kit for it.

        I've got one of those. They are definitely valued under $100. I've not found any mods available, but you can still get some replacement parts through Numrichs. They are a great gun and a it's value is that it'll be a great gift from grandpa!
