GSG 2 round burst? Anyone else experience this?

I was at the range with a buddy and his GSG would every once in awhile fire a 2 round burst? This ever happen to anyone else? What should he do?

I'd send it back to get repairs quickly.

I have heard of this with a variety of .22s
Built up and baked on crud in the firing pin channel can eventually stick the FP forward (or backwards, in which case it does not fire at all).
If your gun is squeaky clean inside everywhere, send it back for repairs.
If not, do a detail cleaning first.

Do not fire this gun again until fixed.
Not just the legal concerns, but an out-of-battery firing is quite likely.

I'm suprised it hasnt been jamming. Take the gun apart. The bolt carrier screws or the screws that hold the bolt jacket are loose. Clean it up and put some blue locktite in there and you should be good to go.

Word of caution. A guy who went to my local range had a similar issue with his .22 rifle. He kept shooting it against everyone's advice, he thought it was cool.

He was subsequently arrested. He ended up pleading to a felony with not time, but the damage was done. The felony cost him ever enjoying a firearm again...

Return or fix the firearm, not worth the risk.
