Several years ago, my dad bought me a Heritage Rough Rider Combo. I was kind of spoiled back then, and I really wanted a Ruger single six combo, so after a few years, I sold it. Now I really want to buy a .22lr/.22mag pistol, and I'm thinking about getting a Colt. I know Colt has several versions, so I thought I'd check to see what you guys thought. Since they aren't on the list, I know they might be hard to get. Any thoughts?

I have owned a Colt "Peacemaker" 22lr/22mag revolver with 4 3/4" barrel for at least a decade now---fine gun, not as sturdy as the the Ruger convertable but very classy with color-case finish on frame and the rest blued. Get one or the New Frontier version (with adjustable sights) and enjoy---just be aware that this revolver has been out of production for many years and you will have to pay a collectors price for a real clean one.Comment
