2-7x32 compact tact. mounted on 522 also w/cheek rest

a few reasons i chose this particular scope

it's got a low quick release base

    over view

also picked up a cheek rest to raise the standard stocks lowish height
this was designed for the 551 but fits our stock too

the buis co witnesses w/the sniper reticle perfectly
it's green/red illuminated, but think it's too bright when on. so have continued just using w/out being lit. will try & give a little bit of comment/report once i get it sighted in @ 50 & 100 yds.

found the exact front sight i wanted on eBay
it's a samson w/trijicon tritium tip & really like the hooded look
i'd also suggest midwest industries that fits our rifles as they look nearly identical & mount the same

Nice! How do you like the NcStar scope -- quality, ease of use, etc.?

If thats an NcStar scope your going to have a hard time with it being mounted that far forward. Eye reliefs is more like 1-1.5 inches rather that the 3-3.5 they advertise. Looks good though.

takes adjustments easily & don't need any tools to make them
        @ least i didn't
specs below mine is a mark III p4 sniper STP2732G they're priced about 119$ nearly everywhere i looked online or in person

        MAGNIFICATION:2X-7X
        TUBE DIA. N/A
        OBJECTIVE DIA. (MM) 32.00
FOV (FEET AT 100 YARDS) 39.1-13.0
        EYE RELIEF (in) 2.9
        EXIT PUPIL(MM) 14.4-4.8
        RETICLE: MIL-DOT
        N.W(OZ.) 14.9
        LENGTH (in) 7.35
        CLICK VALUE : 1/2 M.O.A.
        EXTERIOR FINISH: MATTE BLACK
        LENS COATING: GREEN
        MOUNT:INTEGRATED (WEAVER STYLE QUICK RELEASE)

the illumination is REALLY bright though & wish the cross hair section was thinner. i've read online where other owners adjust where sight is located on the base & also loctited the screws. another factor was i got to view one in person @ a local store & felt it was a fairly solid well built scope. the store had the rangefinder reticle, but i got the idea. what really 'sold' me on them is how well they stand by their product; most times replacing whatever has failed or isn't performing up to expectations w/new product shipped on their dime. i also read a reviewer that after purchasing one for his ar15 ended up buying 3 more for other rifles in his collection. this party seemed to be conscious of good equipment @ a better than average value. this scope was only 123$ shipped to my front door from midway
i'd rate it better than average on ease of changing magnification quickly & also focuses fairly close if ever the need
have been mostly using it @ 4x32 w/recent plinking & the party i did target w/last weekend had more than a couple of fellas telling me they thought the scope was very nice & surprised the cost was just over 100$

mine is very close the the 2.9 inches they list in their specs
wonder if somehow you got a bad one & i like how close it can be adjusted to focus ie. as close as 10-12 ft.
i'm also not needing the cheek rest, but others had mentioned having issues seeing through a similar acogish height type sights
guess i have a long neck

          okay
beginning to really appreciate the 551 cheek rest
raises height by @ least a couple of inches
surprised no one else is interested
@ first it was so 'in the way' i couldn't stand it, but the more i get the sight, sighted in; the better it appears to be working

got this via airsplat dot com @ 13$ each' it seemed like a worthwhile part to test
