Ruger SR-22 accuracy Vs Modded out 10/22

Have any of the 10/22 accuracy fans gotten their hands on a SR-22 and tested accuracy against a bull barrelled, aftermarket stocked, accuracy modified/tuned (whatever you call it), previously stock 10/22?

(probably should have searched prior to posting but in a hurry for info to make a decision)

    Thanks!

    isn't the SR-22 basically a modded out 10/22????

But really, I don't see any way that a stock SR-22 could be as accurate as a 10/22 that has been modified for accuracy.

Correct on the 1st count (the SR-22 is just a 10/22 in a Nordic stock direct from Ruger.)

I'd also agree on the second point. While the SR-22 is capable of good accuracy out of the box (a friend at work has one) it won't keep up with a modded and accurized 10/22. but since the SR-22 is just a 10/22 in a fancy stock you can do all the same mods.

Is the SR22 barrell different (better) than a stock 10/22?

I see where you can buy a 10/22 for about $220, spend a couple to few hundred $$'s on a barrel (lots to choose from) then about $160 on the Nordic kit, etc. So I'm wondering how much better (accurate) is it to go that route over the out of the box $499 (Turners) SR22?

The target is at 50 feet

I get similar groups at 50 yards with my 10/22

I have both match barrels mod 10-22 and AR-22 -- maybe someone wants to meet at Angeles and see which is better?

And use a rifle with crosshairs to get good groups, not a red dot

The SR-22 has a heavy barrel. Not a bull barrel like you'll see on custom 10/22's, but a fair bit heavier then stock.
