Bay Area Range for NRA Postal Match?

I put in a couple of entries to the NRA Smallbore Rifle Postal Match for my nephew and I to shoot. We have to shoot before April 1.

Unfortunately, I did not do enough research in advance and I am now trying to find a suitable location for us to shoot.

    Distance is 50 ft.
3 Position - offhand, sitting and prone.

The local range I wanted to use (San Leandro) does not let the public use their 'low' target holders (to facilitate straight shooting in non-offhand positions). I think they only allow their use during their juniors program.

So, I am trying to find a 50 ft. range that will allow us to shoot all 3 positions.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful.
In the Bay Area (Oakland area), so something 'relatively' close would be best.

    Cheers

You mean pistol, right? Postal...that'd be kinda scary.

No, I meant postal. That is the method to submit scores for match participation. You shoot individually at your club and submit scores via the mail (i.e., the postal service).
This is a different format than shoulder-to-shoulder matches people may be used to.

I think I have to clarify that anytime I've said it because the words 'shooting' and 'postal' in the same sentence seems to always get that response. Gee, wonder why?

Try checking out Richmond Rod and Gun Club. Call down and see if they will let you guys practice.

OH now I get it. I know on rimfirecentral there are a couple like that, and also a couple of just online matches. Completely slipped my mind though.

                Thanks folks.

I'll check with these other ranges and see what my options are. If I get the Ok for 'non standard' distance (many outdoor have 25 yds no 50') I'll just need to get a target holder together (I know Richmond should have some).

I'll post what I came up with if anyone is interested for the future.

Also, if anyone's interested there's also a Conventional Pistol (and Rimfire pistol) Postal match that has a firing deadline of December 27. It only costs $10 to enter and you get a 'postal' hat pin, and possibility of awards.
