Hello, I've got an old 60A .22 that for some reason, I can't seem to stop messing with. As an antique, it's worthless. The stock is painted the bluing is gone, the barrel has dovetails machined into it to accept a scope. My question is given the way the barrel mounts to the stock, what is the (and I know it's gonna be a rough guess) best accuracy I could expect from it? I was considering recrowning the barrel and bedding it to see what effect that would do. I'm fairly new to firearms, but at pretty well mechanically inclined with access to a full cnc machine shop. Can I ever expect this thing to hold 1 MOA?
