522 failed need a picture of bolt assembly complete

a detailed capture of assembly & where all the little clips belong would be awesome

i'm fairly confident i can repair this by replacing the little e clips @ one end of the assembly. but am not sure, i think another e clip also goes on the front

anyone that can upload or link me to a picture of one complete would be greatly appreciated

the little clips can only handle so many rounds & then they get loose enough to come off causing failure

glad i got my calgun family around or i'd be pretty upset

i am going to buy a handful of these little clips; just in case......

went to parkrose hardware & picked up 15 little auveco e clips/ring part#8826

great snaps there pete; perfect


i also discovered a parts diagram pg. 53 of owners manual
regardless though, petes pic still helps (although i already knew) as parts diagram doesn't indicate the e clip on the back behind buffer.
doesn't even list the part being there
oh well, @ least they're trying

got it back together & seems to be functioning properly

will re-test w/live ammo as soon as time allows

oh wow!? just noticed diagram on pg.53 (manual) has front sight that doesn't come w/the rifle
suppose @ one time they were gonna include the sight
the 522 swat version only includes quadrail, no front/rear sight include

thread above is long & what sig sauer is sending out to it's 522 customers that have experienced failure or had issues either call or just email & include your weapons serial #. they'll know whether your rifle has the new parts
& request they send out the update parts that are needed for your rifle
said 5 parts total


they're replacing the guide rod w/one that isn't tappered & switching spring, & bolt buffer. i believe the buffer is even designed slightly different
whenever i get the kit from sig i'll post up pictures
