    Armscor AK-22

It's on sale at turners for $219.98 and I'm considering buying it. I can't find much info on it so I was wondering if any calgunners had any hands on experience with it. From what I could find online, they seem to jam a lot unless you clean and lube your gun often (which I do). Any info on the topic would be appreciated.

A GSG AK looks more like an AK then an Armscor does, and when it's on sale it's only $140 more. Haven't heard too many bad things about the Armscor AK.

Internally, the AK-22 is a dressed up Armscor M-20P, with AK style mag bodies molded over a M-20P magazine. Never fired one, but I hear they jam alot too.

          I had one, worked fine.

But it's big, heavy, funny lookin', and quite frankly, money better spent on something else

Go for the S&W MP 15 .22lr...nice rilfe for the money, can't be beat IMO. I have not really heard anything about the Armscor AK, but for the price, why not?

Yeah, I definitely want to get an MP 15-22 but I'm trying to get the cheapest decent rifle right now. I'll get the MP as my next gun.

I'm also considering the Marlin 60, Marlin 795 and the Ruger 10/22. If I do get one of those rifles, I would want to get a "tacticool" stock later one. The thing that stops me from getting a Ruger is that it'll probably end up more than a MP 15-22 if I bought the rifle and new stock.

If you must have an AK looking .22lr, why not go all the way and find a WASR22? You should be able to find one for less than a GSG.

I recently got a Marlin 60, nice little rife, I put a Tasco scope on it and it is a real tack driver at 100 yards. You can't beat the price to, $149 on sale at Turners!

I agree. Century needs to get off their behind and start importing more WASR 22's. Russian American Armory, or even Arsenal must bring in the Saiga 22. Rimfire EBR's are hot right now. Hot I tell you.

Best $139.95 I ever spent was on my Armscor AK22- it's performed flawlessly for me
(they come with "high velocity ammo only" stamped on their sides).

However, the best $149.95 I ever spent is a tie between a Ruger 10/22 and my Intratec Tec-22.

                      So, for $219.98, I'd pay another $25 and get a 10/22 instead.

I have one and you have to use CCI's in it. I used some federal bulk pack and got a few FTE. No problems when I switched to CCI. I got it for my son to shoot but he doesn't really like it. I would have preferred to get a wasr 22 but I could not find one anywhere. You would be better off with a 10/22.

i shot one of those when i was in the philippines, and they were... ok... nothing special, but definitely weird looking. As far as jamming, i shot 200 rounds through one and it didnt jam once.

How and when did you get such great deals on those guns? I'm always prowling for deals but can't seem to find any slightly lower then retail.
