    Kimber Bolt Removal

I have a Kimber 84 22 lr, an original Clackamas Kimber. I traded for it from a gentleman who had bought it new in 1984 and never shot it. It came with the original box and the bolt was still in the seperate shipping package. Putting the bolt is was simple, took it shooting and it did awesome!!

Got home, and can not figure out how to remove the bolt so I can clean it from the breech end! It shot so well I absolutely DO NOT want to clean it from the muzzle end!! Any one know how? Sure there is something simple I am missing.

It does not have a bolt release on the side of the recieiver or in the trigger guard like my centerfires. Opening the bolt and holding the trigger to the rear doesn't work like some of my older 22 bolt guns.

Also, anyone know a source for extra magazines, don't really NEED one, but its always nice to have an extra around.

    Thanks

I have an Oregon Kimber M82. My bolt comes out when I open it, rotate the handle all the way up (counter clockwise when viewed from behind), holding the trigger, and pulling back.

It's a little touchy, but it comes out eventually.

Magazines are very expensive - I paid $50-$75 for a couple 4 and 10 round magazines on Gunbroker.com

TCWriter, I tried it and it worked! I never would of thought of rotating the bolt past where it naturally wanted to stop, but if you push just a little past you hear a click and then the bolt slides out nice and easy!!
