If you've got a Tactical Solutions .22LR upper, would you mind posting what you've got/done to it:

Hammer Spring: Light, Standard, Extra Heavy?
Recoil Spring Mods: Any clipped coils?
Firing Pin Spring Mods: Any clipped coils?
Preferred Ammo?
Any Failures?

I'll chime in. I have the LT upper. No fire control mods on mine, standard lower parts kit with rounded hammer. No cut springs. It runs perfectly with Federal Champion 525-round bulk packs. No failures to speak of after 500+ rounds. Click the link in my sig for details.

Any Failures? Initially yes. Spoke with Lon at TS and send the whole rifle and all the mags in. Finds out the problem was in all three black dog mags I got. No mods needed to my lower, springs, bolt, etc. Everyone was surprised about the mags. They got new mags and tested it there before sending it back to me.

Works flawless now. I've run federal value packs, remington crap rounds. Winchester HV, CCI mini mags. Basically everythingk I've run, it's taken it.

wasn't pushing the rounds up enough, so it'd only strip it slightly and bend the ish out of the cartridge. Guess the followers were catching somewhere on the inside. I late read that you can just trim the flashing from the follower and in the mag bodies themselves.

Then again, like I said, TacSol paid for everything to get shipped to them, inspected everything, fixed everything and sent it back. Awesome customer service.

JP yellow spring on the trigger, standard spring on the (rounded) hammer. Cycles everything.

Does the bolt on the Tac Sol lock back after last round fired?

If so, is the bolt release functional or do you use the charging handle?

Any problems using CCI minimags or CCI Blazer ammo?

Yes and no... It's like most conversions out there (cmmg, cienar, spikes) that use black dog mags. The follower of the mag sticks out catching the bolt after the last round. After you remove the mag though, the bolt does come forward. The bolt catch will not be function, unless you get a different bolt catch that someone is making. However, if you put that in, then it's not 223/556 compatible.

I've ran mini-mags flawlessly. Dunno about blazer.

Mine got light strikes about 30% of the time initially. Didn't use the rounded hammer. Installed that, and got FTF's about 10% of the time. Installed lightened JP springs in it, didn't make a difference, so I switched them back. Called TacSol, and Lon said it sounded like a dirty chamber. If not that, the hammer channel may need to be widened (and they'd pay shipping both ways for any work). Cleaned the chamber thoroughly, and it's been 100% since (at least for the last 200-300 rds.). Keeping fingers crossed that it was just break-in and a dirty chamber.

If it's GTG from now on, I'm a happy camper. Good customer support, and a fun platform to shoot for sure.
