Speaking of loading the mags, is there a decent mag loader, like the UpLula, for the 795's mags?? I pick mine up on Monday, and I've got a case of Federal 510 sitting in the closet. I hear it whine every now and then, wanting to be taken to the local range. Just be patient little bullet, you'll get your chance to reign terror on some helpless paper.

this stuff works GREAT. just hard to find.

sighting in the BSA sweet scope was a "How the heck did that happen?" occurrence i just literally randomly twisted the sight adjustments and it was spot on my first shot was a bulls eye so cool
this will be a good squirrel assassination gun

yeah, the 795 mags will cut your thumb deep if you do it wrong. I usually don't shoot more than a brick each session due to the magazines.

I would guess the thin metal on the feed lips. Too much pressure while feeding the round in + thin metal feed lips = cut thumbs.

Mine choked on Remington Golden bullets. Kept having failure to feeds. Does just fine with Federal and Winchester though.

Yeah, after about 200 rounds, my thumb does get pretty scraped up from loading the magazine.

shot about 200 cheapass federal. I had about 3 pinchers and 2 case splits

otherwise they weren't too bad. I got 1k of em for something like 22$ so i guess i cant complain.

That being said, the pinchers were i think my fault, this is my first 22 and i was running her WAY too wet and the cases were getting stuck bc of the excess lube during extraction.

+1. all of my 22s have a lot of issues with the Remington Golden stuff, the "gold" coating keep flaking and gumming up the action.

It's bizarre to me as to why they use the coating. their other loads with just lead work great in my 22s.

After a while I learned to hold the magazine in my left hand, push a new round down with my left thumb and use my right thumb to push the round straight back to avoid having too much contact with the sharp edge of the lips. It seems to alleviate the situation a little.
