The backorder on Cabelas is not too bad. I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and it came this past week. I think they list a longer backorder time just to be conservative.

the cabela's deal is a bit of a killer due to shipping cost if you don't have a free shipping code. And the dry storage box has no seal. You'll be better off buying a Big 5 type storage box that have weather stripping.
