For entering data in ballistic programs,what is the diameter of a .22 LR, .223 or .224?

the .22 is .220. The .223(5.56) is .224. The .22 is .004 smaller.

No, it's bigger than .220 http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=217473 , but I'm not sure which number to use, or if it even matters.

I guess you are right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caliber the chart on the bottom shows it well... I guess someone else misinformed me on a thread here!

Anyway, I would use .223.
