Need advice/help with Advantage Arms conversion

I have an Advantage Arms conversion for my Glock 17. It is the LE version with the adjustable rear sights. When I went to the range, it groups 3~4 inches off target at about 20 feet with the sights fully adjusted to compensate. I had 2 of my range officers trying to help me and they said I need to call AA, and will most likely send it in and have it looked at.

This is were I need help.
I called AA and I talked to the operator, not the repair department. She told me to just send it in with a letter explaining the problem and that it will take 3 weeks. I asked is that it and she said yes. I asked if I should at least have it sent to their repair department, and she told me it is the same address, but I should have it CO to the repair guys to look at.

So should I just send it in to the repair department or should I talk to them first. I'm new to dealing with gun repairs to the manufacturers and would like some advice. Also is a typical reply from operators.

Anyone else have this problem with their AA kits

was the 3~4 inches group to the left/right or top/bottom? i am guessing it's a left/right problem. do the rear sight appear to have even distances from the sight edges to the outer edges of the rear sight cut on both sides? just checking to see if the rear sight is not centered.

i too have a G17 with an Advantage Arms LE kit. i find the glock sights are setup perfect for hitting things in to 30-40 yard range. keep the tops of the front and rear sights even. then place at the 6 o'clock position of the target and fire. this goes for both the fixed sights on my g17 slide and the sights on the AA kit.

i received my kit December 23, 2009. i took if out for the first time this past saturday. i used CCI Standard Velocity. it worked amazingly well. i was ecstatic.

they are in valencia. it would probably be worth the drive up there to deliver it personally. you may even get to explain it to someone who works in the repair department.

keep us posted. hope it goes well.

Can the whole rear sight assemblky be drifted left or right? That is something you could do yourself with the right tools or have a local gunsmith do for you in a few minutes.

It is 3~4 to the left
Had the Range officer inspect, fire, and adjust. Everything looks go to me and the 2 range officers could not see anything visually wrong including the rear sights. They both think it's the barrel because even with the sights fully adjusted to one side there was no improvement, and moving it to the other side made it worse.
There office is 8hrs away from me so driving there is out.

it is likely the way the barrel if fitted... which might go away with some rounds through it... or not... just send it...
