    22 WRF???

    I have a couple of old boxes of 22WRF. What were these4 used in??

    The most common rifle was the 1890 Winchester slide action.

    The 22WRF (Winchester RimFire) (aka: 22 Remington Special) is not interchangeable for 22Long Rifle but can be used in some guns chambered for 22 Mag (kinda like running 38 special through a .357 Mag). Some commercially available ammo is not recommended for revolvers as shown in the picture in this link:



    It is a fairly stout round but not common unless you have an old gun chambered to take them (like I do!).

      This is Western Super-X, box and 3/4, I have had these for about 40 years and have nothing that will shoot them. Interested?
