    rimfire laws

Since there is no Flowchart for RF and i know they differ from center fire, ie: 26" overall min length, evil features ok etc...

Where can i find these to show someone? Didn't find anything helpful under "search: rimfire laws"

    Thanks!

rimfire handguns are covered in the handgun chart, and the rifle chart is being updated to cover rimfire rifles, http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...&postcount=322

Bascially, 3 questions cover rimfire rifles, is the barrel <16", is the OAL <26", and is it a lsted AW, that's it. Yes to any of those 3 questions and it is not legal, unless you had the appropriate permits and/or AW registration.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

To my understanding you add any CA legal evil features as long as you meet the minimum length.

buddy wants a Kel-tec SU-22 (come with 26rnd mag). He said keep the mag and ship but dealer refused because of the folding stock. I Know it's legal, and they use blackdog mags so thats OK, but how to convince the dealer?

              hard to prove a negative.

The law doesn't say that rimfire rifles with folding stocks are legal, it just says that certain semi-automatic centerfire rifles with folding stocks are not legal.
12276.1. (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following:
              (1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
              (A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.
              (B) A thumbhole stock.
              (C) A folding or telescoping stock.
              (D) A grenade launcher or flare launcher.
              (E) A flash suppressor.
              (F) A forward pistol grip.
              (2) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.
              (3) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches.
Rimfire rifles are not included in the AW regs. Can't show where its legal, but can show that it isn't an AW. So, at that point have the dealer show you why he thinks its not legal.

What is the length of the Kel-Tec SU-22 with the stock folded? Can it be fired with the stock folded? If it goes below 26 inches with the stock folded and can still fire, then it would be illegal in California as a "short barreled rifle".
