Mark III Target Model Range Report!

hey folks so I just took my Mark III Target model
to insight shooting range here in Artesia CA.

    ammo used!

-100rds CCI Mini Mags "round nose"

    -120rds Federal 36g Hollow Points 550 Bulk

So tell you the truth I am a pretty bad shot, I dont have too much experience on my belt.

I tested about 40rds of the cci mini mags at 15 yards.
-I was so excited because I actually hit the circle I was aiming at,
as sad as that sounds with my walther p22 I was hitting everything
but the circle. "not bashing the gun" I am just a bad shot haha.

4 magazines I dumped into the circle target which is about 3inches all around
at 15 yards and every bullet landed in the circle.

Moved up to 20yards, and same thing occasionally hitting out of the circle, I blame the fact that I was cold and my hands were shivering but then again I also know i am usually a bad shot hahahah.

Lastly tested the federal 36g hollow points, shot just as well as the
cci mini mags, only 2 james due to the fact that when the slide was locked
I released the slide and put in a new magazine after, and then pulled the slide
    back again, so my fault.

over all I am very pleased and it is now the most accurate fire arm I own out of 3 .22s. In about a week I will be getting a Aimpoint Clone Micro t1 mounted on it i will post pictures of that later.

decided to sell my walther p22, no point in keeping a pistol I cant shoot to well with compared to this awesome .22 fire arm!

if you give up on it... let me know =)... i'll keep my eyes open in the marketplace.

you'll get the hang of it, then that P22 will go back in the safe and stay there until you take a buddy to the range with you.

I have a MKIII target also and love it I put a TroGlo red dot on it and now have a 2-3" group at 10-12 yards which is good for me (52 year old eyes). The Ultimate Mag. loader is for the MKs you put about fifty bullets in the container shake it to get the bullets in a slot insert your mag and bingo your loaded bad thing is take only what your going to shoot because with that loader you go through ammo pretty fast . Have fun and shoot often, Redhemi

Don't be embarassed to try practicing at 7 yards. If you can't shoot a group at 7 yards, the groups only look three times worse at 21 yards. Shooting in close has the added benifit of allowing you to see where the shot lands as opposed to greater distances where spotting your shots isn't as easy. This feedback is invaluable for your learning experience. You will start to make the connection between how you handle the gun and its result on the target.

only downside is that its not quite universal... you have to adjust it for the mark 2/3 .. and adjust it differently for a buckmark... thats why I have two

-I recently got one off Ebay for $22.50 shipped, but mine doesn't work as well as the one shown on the Youtube clip. I have to pump each round into the mag. I have been playing around with it and hope to get it to work like the one shown.
