so when i went to pick up my new marlin 795 at bass pro, i decided to get a box of winchester super x 22LR. they tape the bags so you cant really open it unless you rip it, so it stayed closed until i got home(30min drive). now i notice that the salesman put winchester super x 22 long cb-match into my bag instead of the 22LR. i was wondering if they would still work or if i just wasted 4 bucks(the gas for the drive to bass pro makes it not worth going for an exchange)

so anyone know? -
They most likely will not work! My fiancee and I got some of the same ammo also at Bass Pro figuring it would be nice accurate "MATCH" ammo.... Far from it!! It barely has a powder charge in it and would'nt cycle in either one of our 10/22's or buckmark pistol. I tried it in my .22lr bolt action and I got it to fire no problem but the stuff is far from match grade accurate ammo. Using bulk Federal I zero'd my rifle in at 25 yards getting a 1/2" 5 shot group. Then tried this so called match ammo..... yeah the best I could shoot is a 3-4" group at 25 yards on a clear non-windy day.Comment
