I am looking to add another rifle to my collection. It is beginning to become difficult to travel to the range and be one of only two people in the group (5 people total) which has a rifle to shoot on.
I currently have a CMMG BB OLL, with DPMS 20in, coupled with a Ciener 22lr conversion kit.
I am currently on the fence about going for a bolt or semi-auto. Since the majority of those shooting at the range are novice/first time shooters, would it be recommendable to lean towards utilizing a bolt action rifle (I had a Savage Arms Mark II F in mind). If I were to go towards a semi-auto it is a toss up between a Ruger 10/22 or a Marlin 60.
Other side information:
My budget is no greater than $230.
Also any recommendations on pistols will be greatly appreciated.
