Advice on a AR22 trigger reset

Hey guys I need some advice. I just put together my AR22 with a Spikes lower, ... can't remember the LPK's, and a Tactical Solutions 22 upper. My problem that I'm having is that after the 1st bullets fires, it will cycle a new bullet into the chamber but will not reset the hammer. I'm a bit lost on what to do here and was wondering if anyone here had this same problem, or give me guiding hand on what to do to correct this issue. Thanks!

Where are you located as maybe I could help you look at it if local? Sounds like a spring is not put in the LPK correctly...

wow, I'm in So-Cal, very close to Los Angeles. If that sounds like the case I'm going to break her down tomorrow and reinstall her.

You might need a set of the JP yellow springs and/or a rounded style hammer if your hammer is the notched kind.

If the hammer spring isn't installed correctly, you should actually be more reliable in an AR-22 due to the decreased power. But you want the spring installed correctly anyways since it holds the trigger pin in That's why the JP yellow springs are a good idea.

Since you're near LA, you might want to hit up Riflegear for some help.

You have to buy the springs online, Riflegear does not have it. I'm not sure of the rounded hammer, maybe they have it.

Hey bdsmchs, have you found the springs? I've been trying to find it on riflegears's page but no luck.

(oh, i have a 22 round hammer on mines)

What kind of ammo are you using? Maybe you need something with a bit more kick.

Well I'm using the bulk Federal 550 rd box and I have also used Federal Spitfire Ammunition. I don't use Remington anymore ... had too many probs with it. I shoot the same out of my 10/22 and it works fine. What do you think?

Well, my AR-7 won't usually work with bulk pack stuff but does just fine with most high velocity ammo.

Try some mini mags and see if it's any better.

We haven't gotten them on the website yet. They are available in-store.

Not too sure about the 550 bulk you have. I had the same problem of cycling without cocking the hammer when I used lower powered ammo. Try some other high velocity ammo. Mine (M1S, not Spikes) shoots just fine with the full force Geissele springs. Automatch, which is impossible to find, works great with my rifle. Federal Gold Match and the Fiocchi HV too.

                              Found out the problem!!!
I swamp lowers and it function fine in lower #2, so I switched out the buffer in the Spikes lower and it was functioning fine. I had a H - heavy buffer in the Spikes. Although I did a burst ... kinda bump fired it without realizing how I was griping the thing...
