    S&W 422

I have a S&W 422 pistol that I bought for my son back in the early 90's but now he is playing with the really good stuff in the Army.

I mentioned to a friend that I was going to sell it and he said I couldn't because it is not on the "roster".

Is this true that if you have an older gun that you can't sell it because it is not "DOJ approved" ?

You can sell non-rostered handguns via Private Party Transfers. Both the buy and seller have to meet face to face at an FFL to do the paper work.

Non-roster handguns cannot be shipped to the seller's FFL for transfer.

      Yes, what Bob said.

As a matter of fact I saw a used one for sale at the Turner's in Corona recently.

I live a block away from there. I'll have to stop by there and see what it looks like compared to mine.

What barrel length is your 422, I always wanted one. Did it shoot reliable?

            One more "legal" question.

One of my mags is an original 12 rd mag. Can I sell that with the gun ? Or is that not legal to do.

It's my understanding that you can't sell the mag with even it though it would be a PPT here in Calif. 10 rounders are easy to get.
Nice pistol by the way. I love mine and it shoots 100% with CCI mini-mags. Anything else and it likes to be real clean. Fun little gun!
