I was running a Bushnell holosight on my M&P and having a blast with fast target acquisition and co-witnessing possibilities with my irons. However, for longer range plinking and close range versatility, the Millet DMS is a natural fit for the M&P.
I had originally purchased the DMS for my Spikes dedicated upper, but its a pretty heavy build already and an extra 2 lbs of glass can make offhand shooting a chore especially for new shooters and women. But on the light weight M&P the extra weight is no problem and actually it balances the rifle very well. You end up with the ability for fast 1x capabilities and can dial up to 4x for more precision at 100 yards and beyond. Its a great plinking setup.
