    Norinco/Interarms Model 22 A.T.D., potential issue?

    I have a Norinco/Interarms Model 22 A.T.D. .22lr rifle, same as this one:



    It disassembles into two parts, like this:



    using this nut here:



    Now, when I re-assemble it and tighten the nut, I can still wobble/rotate it about a millimeter or so, maybe half a millimeter.

    Those of you who have this rifle, is this the case with your rifle, as well? Is it normal? The rifle seems to be in near=perfect condition otherwise, doesn't look used much at all.

      I have a Browning, and mine locks up pretty good. But I do believe that you shouldn't tighten the nut when the rifle is assembled, you just make incremental adjustments one way or the other and reassemble until things are good and tight. I haven't handled mine in a long time, but I do believe that is the case...
