    New Henry AR-7?

Has any body been on the Henry web site lately? looks like they have a new version of the AR-7. It seems to be matte gray with black accents and some other cosmetic changes. And it seems like they redesigned the stock to carry two extra magazines instead of one. Any one have this model yet?

Haven't seen the new Henry AR-7 but you can bet it doesn't look like mine.

Interesting. I wonder if they also made some mechanical improvements instead of just cosmetic changes and extra mag storage. If so, I might have to pick one up. The old ones reportedly had jamming problems. I should probably wait until some user reviews start to filter in before making up my mind.

The recent model Henrys don't always have jamming problems, they are just fussy with using the right ammo. Once you found out which .22LR ammo your gun liked, it generally functions reliably. The Henry version of the AR-7 was a big improvement on reliability than the Charter Arms version.

The new Henry does look really cool, with the new Teflon finish and the new scope rail. I'm guessing Henry are discontinuing the camo and silver version, since they are no longer on the website.

+1 My Henry is very reliable. Still looking for it's favorite ammo though.

i bought the henry ar-7 from walmart the week it came out and it was horrible i swear it must have been made on a friday it was a silver one serial number us0013x and it was jam city i had it for a week and took it back to walmart got my money back pretty cool i had a charter arms one and it works fine

the new new henry looks pretty cool so now you can have 3 mags in there one in the receiver and 2 in the stock

my charter only allows storage for one you have to take it out of the receiver and put it in its little area is the barrel still plastic? the least they could do would be to put a metal plate at the breach so jams dont chew it up

Throw those plastic barrels away and get yourself a steel one. Only things plastic on my rifle is the pistol grip and buttstock.

I was asked about the parts for the A2 stock. Here is a pic of the parts for this modification

How it looks not attached to the receiver

                  The complete rifle

                        I have

I have a old beat up charter arms one. Been used and abused, and shown no love before I got it. Biggest thing is to make sure the barrel nut is tight, and after shooting for a bit make sure it still is. That and with everything primarily being aluminum oil it alot. Mine is so used that the ejection port is much larger by far than original.
