    GSG-5SD

So I decided to purchase one of these so I can take my 9 y/o son to the range with me. Are these all legal in CA? Without Mods, would I be able to take this to the range and shoot without worrying about LEOs and other agents?
Its identical to this one except it's the anniversary edition.

Perfectly Legal, I almost bought one today myself, but ended up getting a Sig 522

Yes they are 100% legal with 10 rd magazines. One question to you. Why would you purchase something that you thought wasn't legal? A sk that question before, You don't reside in CA do you? Welcome to Calguns

Very legal in California and a fun gun to shoot at the range.

Performs well with Minimags, Blazer, & Golden Bullets.

I had a few problems with Federal bulk HP 525 round packs.

I wouldnt get the GSG5 for your 9 year old. its far too heavy for my 21 yr old gf.

start him off with a lighter 10/22 or a polymer rifle like S&W M&P 15-22, they are much lighter and manageable for a small kid.
God Bless the Rimfire exemptions in CA! At lease we get to shoot something that looks 'Tacticool'

Nice purchase. I'm looking forward to shooting it at the range.

I've been living in CA for about 10 years but don't know the law to well. I assumed that because it was sold to me locally that it was legal then began reading and freaked out .. They offered me the 10 rd mag or a 10/30 Mag so I chose the 10/30.

I say for my son, that one is more for me. I'm thinking about picking up the S&W M&P 15-22 or the SIG522 as well..

                Thanks all for the responses.

Go for the SIG. Mine is incredibly accurate and well built. IMHO, the best "black rifle" .22 clone made.
