Depending on the stock, you may not need to have it pinned. If the rifle still measures 26" or longer when folded, you should be good to go. I'm sure someone else will chime in if there's another reg that needs to be met.

As long as the overall length of the gun is still 26" then it is perfectly legal. Turner's sells the ATI folding stock for the GSG-5 although I believe that the ATI folding stock is longer than usual at the mount so it can meet the regs. I'm not sure if any of the air soft (Classic Army, etc.) folding stocks would meet the requirement. I have the ATI collapsible stock on mine and it meets the requirement no problem.

I've been looking around for some time now, and the ATI folding stock seems to be the only one Californians have been using on the GSG. There are probably airsoft stocks that will work, but you'll have to be sure they're over 26" when installed.

I wish someone made an UMP/USC-style folder.

as mentioned above, as long as it 26" long with the stock folded in its shortest fireable configuration, it is legal.

The AW regs that deal with folding stocks only deal with semi-automatic centerfire rifles and shotguns. All other long guns are exempt from the AW regs.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
