GSG-5 help, what's this spring?? (Semi urgent)

I just picked up my GSG-5 the other day and was doing the typical pre-first trip take down and inspection as I was hoping to take it out today. Everything looked good so I was putting it back together when I noticed that there was a spring on the floor that I had not seen come out.

The spring in question is circled in red in the first picture. The <sarcasm> highly detailed and incredibly well written </sarcasm> instructions said nothing about any springs, so I'm assuming that it either wasn't supposed to fall out or was somehow an extra spring that shouldn't have been in there.

The second picture is how far I took it apart, which is all the instructions provide for.

Anyone know where this thing is supposed to go??

    Thanks!!

      Indeed sir, that was it!
      Thank you so much!!
I've bookmarked that page as it looks like a fine source of info.
Obviously I'm new to GSGs so I'm sure I'll be asking a bunch of silly questions over the next few weeks.

        Hehehe the infamous mystery spring!

Its what holds the bolt open after last round.

The internals and large part count is why i did not buy a GSG. I wanted one badly, dont get me wrong, but I have known a few people that own them thatt have constant problems with theirs. I went with the Sig 522 as well, reliability with this gun is to be seen.
