S&W MP15-22 Review

After a lot of research, and coin flipping, I settled on the S&W AR .22. It was a Christmas gift for my Son. Santa has a blast sighting it in Christmas eve.
WOW!
This is one fun gun.
No malfunctions on Remington bulk or CCI Mini Mags.
Added a Barska Red Dot Sight. I highly recommend this rifle for anyone who wants the fun of an AR at the price of shooting a .22

They are a little rough, but you can drop in an AR trigger. That is the beauty of the S and W.

Mine is at around 750 rounds of Aguila Super Extra without a single malfunction of any kind. It is an absolute blast!!!
I haven't had the opportunity to do a formal accuracy test (range conditions and time limitations keep getting in the way) but bracing against the bench has yielded dime size groups at 25 yards and I was nailing golf balls out to 100 yards with a 4X scope. I ordered a bunch of different target loads and plan to see what she can really do under optimal conditions with premium ammo. The trigger isn't fantastic, but it breaks very cleanly and I like it better then my Spikes tactical trigger. The great thing is it accepts any after market trigger so you could even put a JP match trigger in if that's your cup of tea.
To me thins gun is one of the best plinking bargains available and with the fully functioning AR controls, its fantastic training for a centerfire.

dang... now I gotta buy one. I have the spike's .22lr conversion for my ar's and that's the one drawback of the .22lr conversion
