    Marlin 795 Rear Sight Removal?

Asking this as a good friend of mine purchased a set of Williams Fiber Optic sights for his Marlin 795. The new sight appears to be of the dovetail type, and the current sight also appears the same, however it almost looks as if it is crimped into the dovetail?

Is it possible to drift out the stock rear sight on these, or is this something that should be taken to a gunsmith?

Check the manual...where did he get his sights? I've never heard of them.

    Little searching, never mind!

Can you post pictures of his sights? Our stock sight is mounted on the barrel, and it looks like the new sights mount on the dovetail, as well as a replacement for the front sight. I believe he should be able to leave his stock bb gun junk rear sight on the rifle.

Just knock the sight out of the dovetail. I've done it on my Model 60 when I use my Tech Sights.

my 795s rear sight came off super easy: when facing the barrel, knock left to right with a small flat head screwdriver, and a small hammer, mine came RIGHT out no problems at all
