    GSG5SD, worth the $600?

I went by a local shop and saw one, it had the grey receiver. Is it worth it or should I wait for the HK Umarex version to come out?

I personally don't like the titanium version. I got a black one. Think is was $500, but after shipping & Transfer it comes out close that that anyways.

It's worth it if you want it. If you are unsure, then maybe not. When it comes to firearms, if I want or like something, then I buy it. I always expect the item to be discontinued.

The problem with waiting in this case is that the unknown Umarex HK may not be as nice or reliable as the GSG - but it might be better too.

I have the Umarex Colt M4 Ops, and I have the GSG-5. I like them both equally, but even if I didn't have the GSG-5 already, I wouldn't go out and buy the Umarex HK version as it would seem like having 2 of the same gun.

Sure, but not for $600. Turner's is selling it this week for $529 (regular GSG-5 for $499)

I would stick to the S&W MP 15 22lr, or the Sig 522lr. The GSG-5 has a lot of small parts and can get very picky with age. I have a buddy with one, and it's laying around in pieces and doesnt work. I have heard similar reports from other mombers. It is constructed very much like an airsoft gun rather than a real firearm. Remember, the fewer the parts, the less can go wrong. Also, its a royal pain to take down and do a full cleaning where as the two guns I listed above are easy to field strip.
