10/22 Eagle stick mags - feeding problem

I have some of those clear 10rd plastic Eagle magazines for my 10/22 - the ones that snap together so you can have two magazines attached.

Anyway, I'm having pretty bad feeding problems. After the first round, the bottom of the bolt smacks against the top of the next round. Anyone have similar problems with these magazines in a 10/22?

I think I'm just not pushing it in far enough - but that sliding piece at the back of the magazine seems to be interfering with the magazine release on the 10/22.

I have a couple of those Eagle 10 round mags and they work fine.
If you have an extended magazine release on your 10/22, the sliding piece on the back of the Eagle mag will prevent the mag from seating fully.
Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to remove the sliding tab.
If you just break off the outside part, the inside part will jam up the mag as it floats around.
You might be able to file or grind off the slider tab to clear your mag release.

Also, newer 10/22s seem to have slightly different locations for the front mag locating hole in the receiver...some 10/22s have this hole higher or lower than it should be, which locates the mag higher or lower, causing a variety of problems. The aftermarket mags all seem to locate themselves at slightly different heights, perhaps a different brand of mag can solve your problems.

If you are local and want to bring it by, I'm in 91214 zip.
    PM as needed.

Interesting - I do have one of the "newer" 10/22 - plastic trigger, painted barrel, etc.

      Thanks for reply.

At least yours is sitting high, which is much easier to fix than sitting low.
