    Mounting a Scope on a Ruger SR22

took my Ruger SR22 to the range yesterday. I mounted a 3-9 Bushnell Elite 3200 scope on the rail with a set of Leopold "Grand Slam" extra high scope mounts. I find that the scope is too low and you really have to crane your neck to see through the scope. the guys at the store did sell me a riser block to install along with the Leopold mounts but I left the mount off as I thought it would look crappy to have all that stuff mounted.
is there a mount that would work to raise the scope high enough without having to use a riser block too? I never had a AR type rifle with a scope so this is all new to me.

I have the same problem too. I mount a Burris High scope mounts on my SR22 and it is extremely low. It keeps hitting my earmuff. I think i will get the Extra high mounts and see what happens.

WTF? Mines on it's way and it looks like these scopes would be too high!
These scopes shouldn't be any lower than on a regular AR with the same buttstock.

as mentioned above I also have to wear earplugs as muffs are in the way, they hit on the stock.
