    Don't laugh

    Hi members

I am just getting back into shooting and was wondering if you can shoot mini-mags in a 22lr chambered gun. I have remington nylon 66 , nylon 77 and marlin 60. Just wondering.

CCI Mini Mags are nothing more than high velocity .22 LR cartridges. Any of your rifles should be safe firing them.

No you may not, you'll blow up the rifles If you do not mind using non copper coated bullets then try CCI Blazer. Basically the same things a Mini Mags but half the cost

Gio was only joking about blowing up the rifle, the rest is true.

Sorry could not help myself, I was a bad, bad boy there It was a joke, but mini mags are twice the cost of blazer and looking at the stats blazer is faster and shoots further then mini mags do. Even when Blazer was in the Panic Prices it was 5 cents a round as opposed to 8 to 10 cents a round for mini mags. To be honest I only use blazer now in all of my .22LR toys. I have 2 rifles from mid 1940-1950's and they shoot great with blazer. If you like using more expensive copper coated ammo which is fine then go ahead and use that My Advantage Arms .22LR Kit for my 17 loves blazer and there are certain ammo brands or types they say not to use. I tried to use the stuff they said no to and guess what? It did not function properly

                  Take care,

Not too many years ago, the mini mags sold here 2 for $5.00, on sale. The best price I can find now is $5.99 each. Blazers for half that would be a pretty good price - where are you finding them?

                    Thanks!

Mini mag is basically 6.50 to 8.50 depending where you find it. I raided my local Big 5 one day after going through a whole box of blazer that I got for $18 otd for a brick. After I shot up the one box and several other brands and having no issues with the blazer I went back and bought 12 boxes. Down to my last 2 boxes which I am giving to my brother to shoot out of his 10/22 I have 300 or so rounds left for my bolt action winchester to shoot up.

Not going to find them for that price right now, .22lr is being bought up by bottom feeders looking to price gouge. I heard a good story on how a local shop was charging $5 for a box of 50 of .22lr. I heard it from another member, never did question them about it. This was back in July when the drought was kind of iffy, but nonetheless it was worth doing this

Want to seriously upgrade your .22?

Try the Aguila Super Max: 1750 fps!!! Beat those CCi Stingers by over 300fps. Throws a 30gr bullet. My best round for squealy-pigs.
