    GSG AK-47 .22lr

Turners: Their latest weekly online flyer has GSG AK-47 .22LR at mere $369.98. Sounds like a really good price, no? I should have waited!!!

Yes a great price. Originally $500 bucks. I'm hoping they do the same thing with the SIG 522, fingers crossed.

$369 is a fantastic price. I paid $399 a week ago and thought I got a good deal. Especially good for norcal.

Esquire - Do you have a range report? I was wondering why they lowered the price.

They lowered their price because I just bought mine at full price......

Mine has eaten everything from Fed Bulk to Rem Golden bullets without any problems. Accuracy is very good.

No, I haven't had a chance to go to the range with it yet. Turners are starting to have really good selection now. I'm definitely going to pay more attention to Turners from now on. Some of their prices are cheaper than online (considering transfer fee of $50 or more charged by most FFL's) even after tax.

Just remember that they ar NOT AKs in any way. I like my GSG5 but, since I have a real AK action rimfire rifle, I would not buy one.

Can they take normal AK parts (hand guards, stocks) like the GSG-5?

Nope. However, the GSG Kalashnikov has sort of a modular receiver. A folding GSG skeleton stock can be attached.

The GSG AK has a lot to be desired. Go feel one in person, sure it LOOKS like an AK form 10ft away but man, its more airsoft, and a poor one at that, than Kalashnikov.

For that price, the Sig 522 is WAY WAY better, I just got mine and will do a range report on monday.

The SIG is metal and sturdy, the GSG is mim'd metal and even shows screws holding it together.

For $50 more, the Sig is a MUCH better rifle.

Now, the GSG-5 Mp-5 is a good rifle too, much better than the AK abomination. But for $100 cheper than the GSG-5, you once again, get a high quality SIG or S&W MP-15/22.

It looks decent enough just i dont like the cheap hand guards and stock. I much prefer the feel of my GSG-5
