    S&W 15-22

What's the word on these .22's? How do they compare vs the Colt and the Ruger's?

are you referring to a K-framed .22lr with the skinny barrel and adjustable sights?

if so, that's a M-18. it's a "combat version" (ramped front sight, shorer barrel) of the M-17 (K-22). the K-22 is considered the flagship of the S&W rimfire revolver line.

the comparable Colt would be the 4" Diamondback. i like the 4" Diamondback better, but many like the shorter action of the S&W...they are both quality revolvers

Ruger doesn't make anything approaching the quality or workmanship of either of these two

picked one of these up earlier this month, haven't had a chance to plink with this yet. I'll compare it with my GSG when I get a chance.

Picked one up but sold it right away. Between the GSG-5, the Sig 522 and the M&P, I chose to sell the M&P because it just felt too light for me. It's a very nice gun and has the functionality of an AR. But remember that the upper, lower, even the railed handguard are made entirely of polymer. To complete my 22lr collection, Im waiting for the HK 416D.

I was concerned about how I'd feel about a polymer AR but as soon as I picked up the M&P15-22, I was sold. Then after adding an optic, Magpul Stock, Ergo Grip, Rail panels and a VFG (soon to be AFG), it has become my new range favorite. I love my dedicated 22LR spikes build, my GSG is a fun novelty, but the Smith and Wesson runs the exact same controls as a centerfire AR and that is pure training and plinking perfection.
One of the joys of .22 ARs is you don't have to run a bullet button. Its a shame not to be able to run your bolt release on speed reloads... just my opinion.

                  Found it mine on gunbroker

Just went to pickup a AR stock wrench at a shop in the city where I work. They had it in stock, played with it for a sec, then gave them my credit card. Total impulse buy, but they had it in stock and it felt good. The shop is Triple A Sports in Vallejo.
