any of these sound good...
I think I favor the Henry... for sentimental reasons... read too many westerns..Greebo, as a matter of feline pride, would attempt to fight or rape absolutely anything, up to and including a four-horse logging wagon. Ferocious dogs would whine and hide under the stairs when Greebo sauntered down the street. Foxes Kept away from the village. Wolves made a detour. Terry PratchettComment

you are not the first to think of it. the issue is getting one that is dimensionally similar to a .223 at best or a 9mm at worst so you do not have to manufacture a magazine from scratches, also needs to be a non rimmed cartridgeComment
-
id be more worried about manufacturing a new bolt design, myself.. how can you have a rimfire cartrige with no rim?Comment

.380, 9mm, and .45 would all be good for a rimfire smg
the more I think about it I bet a tommygun with 50round drum would not only be easier to have made, but would be safer.
Do not forget the reason those big rimfire's went the way of the dinosaur.sigpicComment
