Quick S&W M&P 15-22 question

I jsut got a new 15-22 and wow does the trigger suck. I have a Stag standard trigger but the hammer is notched on top and S&W is not. I have heard with some .22 uppers they will not run with the notched hammer. Will this gun work with this trigger group? Thanks, Sammy

Well I installed the Stag trigger group and it feels slightly better. I won't have a chance to try it for a few weeks but I will post results when I get back out to the range. Sammy
