    Finally built a 10/22

Well I finally put together the box of parts that's been sitting in my closet. It's nice when that 10th 24 hour period is up.

    Volquartsen Superlite reciever
    Volquartsen THM Carbon barrel
    Bell & Carlson Anschutz stock
    Polished bolt
    Power Custom internals
    Ruger (metal) trigger group

    Next step: an optic

Any recommendations on a good optic for a .22?

I'm torn between spending the extra cash to buy a Kidd trigger and just rebuilding the Ruger one... opinions?

Law which is uncertain in its interpretation or capricious in its application fails to fulfill its essential function.

If you add the Volquartsen TG2000, and change out the bolt/charging system with the VQ one then I would say this is pretty close to equal to the KID build. KID even uses Bell & Carlson stocks now. Nice job!

The Kidd is a really nice drop in unit.
However, for under $40 you can get a hammer and springs set from Power Custom or Volquartsen and get 75% or more of the Kidd trigger pull improvement.
But since you have so much V stuff already, maybe consider their complete trigger group assembly.

KIDD! Nothing can touch it! You obviously have good taste from the build so far... I say a black Kidd trigger housing with that unmistakable red straight trigger blade to finish your build off!

Beautiful.... Could you share what the approx cost on this would be? I have an older 10/22, and this looks like it would be a great project.

she's a beauty. i think my stock 10/22 shoots fine on it's own, but one day i'll build something like that. i hope it shoots well for you.
