    Harris Bipod on 10/22 Carbine

    Hi everyone:

I recently purchased a Carbine model 10/22 and was wondering what they best way to mount my Harris S-BRM bipod on the rifle would be. I have the standard stock (non-synthetic) with no QD swivel studs.

I was told that I can mount it to the barrel band (using a QD swivel stud) or I can drill into the stock and insert a stud to mount it to. I would prefer to mount it to the barrel band and leave my stock alone.

Any suggestions and/or pics for mounting would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I had tried to do the same thing on the barrel band and came up empty. The reason this will not work is that the bipod has nothing to rest against in the front of the barrel band... The bipod needs a flat surface to rest on front and rear.

Good luck and I hope you come up with what you are looking for..

Wall mart sells the uncle Mikes screw in studs for less than 10 bucks. It is easy to do. Mount two of them one in front for the bi-pod and one for the sling.
