anybody had gsg misfeed issues?

I took my nephews gsg with a modified mag (factory turned into high cap) out last week and the thing jammed several times, its brand new...i was using 40 grain lead round nose and 36 grain fed hp. just wondering if its because of the spring pressure or if anyone else has had the same issue. thanks.
