First Shot Flyer with semi auto

I have a Volquartzen Semi auto, at the last 22 tactical match i was getting a bad first shot flyer, high and right by a 1 1/2", not good for precision matches. Anybody else experiance this. I didnt seem to notice this when the Temps were higher.

I believe it's because the first round is loaded by hand (you pulling the bolt back and releasing), whereas the other rounds are loaded by recoil. The rounds are not all seated the same, so you get that first flyer. You could always fire off the first round somewhere else to have all of the scoring shots loaded the same (just top off the mag after the first shot).

This is a very common problem.
I heard a very wise man once say,
"Put the first one in the dirt"

When I shoot for groups I always load 6 rds in the mag. 5 wolf and the 6th round from bulk. The first shot goes in the dirt, and the next five go through the same hole on the target.
